Jennifer Hudson played and roled as Effie White in the movie “Dreamgirls”, inspired by supremes member Florence Ballard. After acting a role in “Dreamgirls”, Hudson decided to audition for American idol, where she reached final rounds before getting eliminated in seventh place. After performing for American idol, season three tour during the summer in 2004, Hudson performed at charity events on Broadway and completed a concert tour throughout the Midwest.

Jennifer opened up to Glamour Magazine and stated, “It’s frustrating as hell to me to have somebody who ain’t lost nothing try to talk to me about it.” I want to say, ‘Don’t even bother, because you know nothing.’ But you never know how much you can get through until you’re going through it.”
